AIDDN Commemorates World Cerebral Palsy Day 2026: “Unique and United”

Today, October 6, we join the global community to celebrate persons with cerebral palsy and raise awareness about their experiences, abilities, rights and contributions to society.

Cerebral palsy is a lifelong physical disability that can affect movement, coordination, communication and other aspects of daily life. However, every person with cerebral palsy is unique. Their abilities, experiences, interests, dreams and support needs are different.

This World Cerebral Palsy Day, we are reminded that persons with cerebral palsy should not be defined by their disability or limited by assumptions about what they can achieve.

They deserve access to quality healthcare, rehabilitation and therapy, inclusive education, assistive devices, employment opportunities, accessible environments and meaningful participation in their communities.

At AIDDN, we believe in a society where persons with cerebral palsy are seen, heard, respected and included.

This year, we ask: What change do you want to see for persons with cerebral palsy?

Let us move from awareness to action. Let us celebrate their strengths, listen to their voices and work together to remove the barriers that prevent them from living full and independent lives.

💚 Unique in our experiences. United in our call for inclusion.

Happy World Cerebral Palsy Day 2026!
